Crop Jumper - Zara ● Shredded Mom Jeans - Topshop ● Boots - Vagabond ●
Fox Bracelet - Fossil ● Handmade Leather Bracelet - Tierra (Westfields, Stratford)

Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and hope that 2014 becomes the greatest year as of yet. The new year brings around a new start and to turn all the negativity in your life into positive, rewarding new things, which is why I find it the best time of year. Last night, I went with my family to see the fireworks in London but unfortunately we left too late and only managed to catch a few glimpses of the lights through a bunch of heads and umbrellas, however it was still great to welcome the new year in with loved ones and the atmosphere was fantastic.

So, for the first outfit of 2014 I chose this which I recently wore to a casual party. (I wanted to have my Christmas outfit as the first but what with the holidays my blogging has gone slightly up in the air, hopefully to return to Earth soon) Even in the warmer months, one of my favourite things to wear are jumpers and this cropped sweat from Zara is great to wear casually and dressed up to parties. I love layering cropped sweats over dresses as well as they create a much better silhouette than longer styles. This jumper is actually in the clearance sale in Zara now so check that out if you are interested.

In the last picture you can see two of the lovely Christmas presents I received this year, receiving bracelets is always nice as somehow mine always seem to either become broken or lost. The fox bracelet is also on sale for £25 from Fossil and is the cutest bracelet I own, there is also a silver penguin and gold owl if you are interested (the penguin is possibly the sweetest thing in the world). The bracelet is of a really delicate and good quality and is filled with Swarovski-alike crystals. The second bracelet is from an independent shop that has only one shop in England (in Westfields), one in New York and a few in Madrid (being a Spanish brand). They offer the nicest service and give free lavender scented paper flowers upon entering. They have a variety of handmade leather jewellery, made with natural shells, stones etc. which are great for a gift or just for yourself as mine was, heh.

I hope everyone has a prosperous 2014.
Ellie x
